Thomas Davis pops finger into place mid-play, tackles Marshawn Lynch (Video)
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis dislocated his finger in the middle of a play against the Seattle Seahawks last week, but that wasn’t enough to stop him from making the tackle.
Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review passed along a rather shocking piece of the latest edition of NBC Sports Network’s “Turning Point,” which shows Davis popping his finger back into place before making a stop on Marshawn Lynch.
Davis was caught by the NFL Films cameras explaining to his teammates what had happened.
“I hit the lineman, my finger came out, I popped it back into place,” he said.
Does the NFL need a dislocated finger protocol now in addition to a concussion protocol?
As many of you know, Davis talked some serious trash about Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham after the game. Now that I see what he did on that play against Lynch, I’m willing to listen to whatever Davis has to say.
