Tom Brady appeal to be heard June 23
Tom Brady’s appeal of his four-game suspension is scheduled to be heard on June 23, according to reports.
The Boston Globe reported news of the date for the appeal hearing and says there still is no word yet on who will be the arbitrator in the case.
The NFL announced that Roger Goodell would serve as the arbiter in the matter, but the players’ association asked him to recuse himself because he is seemingly biased. The NFLPA also plans to call Goodell as a witness in the case, which would make it tough for him also to be an independent arbiter.
There is speculation that Patriots owner Robert Kraft has already accepted the penalties for Deflategate because he has an understanding with Goodell that the Brady suspension will be reduced.
