Tom Brady has been battling a knee injury that he suffered in a Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, though the New England Patriots quarterback has said very little about it. On Monday, Brady provided about as thorough of an update as we will likely get.
While he did not go into detail about the injury, Brady said he felt better after his team’s win over the New York Jets than he did after a Week 11 victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
“It’s better than last Monday, so I’m very happy about that,” Brady said, according to Everett Cook of the Boston Globe.
As expected, Brady also hinted that he does not plan on missing any games.
“If you can convince yourself that you can do it, then I believe 99 percent of the time you can,” he added. “I always want to be out there with my teammates, and playing is fun. You work so hard to get 16 chances a year, you hate to let one of those get away because of some type of little injury.”
Brady sailed a number of throws on Sunday, which makes sense when you take into consideration the report we heard before kickoff. While there would be no better time to rest the 39-year-old than a home date against the Los Angeles Rams next weekend, Brady is likely going to keep battling through the injury.
