Report: Tom Brady has been conducting workouts with new Buccaneers teammates
NFL facilities may not be open, but that’s not stopping Tom Brady from getting work in with his teammates.
The Tampa Bay Times wrote an article on Tuesday about a workout Brady had with some of his offensive teammates at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa earlier in the day. According to reporters Rick Stroud and Joey Knight, Brady along with quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin worked out at the school with some offensive teammates. Brady reportedly seemed to be leading the workout, which involved quarterbacks throwing to players.
In addition to the quarterbacks, center Ryan Jensen was there to snap the ball to the QBs, while Scotty Miller, tight ends Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard and running back Dare Ogunbowale also were in attendance.
Though this is the first we’ve heard about the workouts, NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo says they have been ongoing.
“If you think this was the first workout today, you’d be way wrong. This was just the first that was documented. These guys have been working together already,” Garafolo says.
The report is not too surprising given how hungry Brady has been to get some work in. He was busted about a month ago for trying to work out at a public park in Florida during the shutdown. A few days later, we learned Brady went over to offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich’s home.
Brady is on a new team, with new teammates, a new playbook, and not too much time before the season starts. He’s trying his best to be ready for his Tampa Bay Bucs debut.
