The Giants caught yet another break in their shockingly bad division Monday night when the Cowboys beat the Redskins on a last-second field goal. The win by Dallas created a three-way tie atop the NFC East, and New York remains a part of it.
On Thursday, Giants coach Tom Coughlin was asked how the mood changed at the team facility when the Cowboys knocked off Washington. Here’s how he responded:

“Jumping jacks for every meeting like that, that’s for sure,” Coughlin said with a grin. “No, it’s exciting. Let’s face it, it is exciting.”
Like the rest of us, Coughlin probably can’t believe his team is still in the playoff hunt, let alone tied for the division lead with a 5-7 record. The Giants have become masters at finding ways to lose games this season (this was one of the worst), and it somehow hasn’t cost them a shot at playing for a championship.
You’d be doing jumping jacks, too.
