Good or bad, Tony Romo was in prime form Sunday during the AFC Wild Card game between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Romo was quite pleased with himself when the Jaguars completed a pass to tight end Brenton Strange after he had singled the player out. He followed that up with a bad pun and a laugh that left a lot of people uncomfortable.

Romo unquestionably knew that the pun was terrible. That’s why the laugh was meant to be exaggerated, but to many viewers, it just came off as being more uncomfortable than anything else.
At this point, some people actively listen for the bizarre noises Romo has been known to make on the air. Whether it’s amusing or painful is in the eye of the beholder.
After his initial popularity, Romo has grown into one of the most frequently criticized NFL commentators in recent years. The former quarterback has largely dismissed his critics, though even many of the critics would argue that he used to be much more entertaining and insightful than he is now.
Like it or not, Romo has a massive contract with CBS. He is not going anywhere anytime soon.
