Tre Mason’s family reportedly concerned about his mental health

Tre-Mason

Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason has reportedly been exhibiting bizarre behavior over the past several months, and some of his family members are concerned.

TMZ reports that police responded to a call at Mason’s family home in Florida Saturday afternoon, but no arrests were made. However, Mason’s family is said to be worried about a series of “bizarre and angry outbursts” from the 22-year-old. Some family members reportedly told police they are concerned for Mason’s personal safety.

TMZ goes on to note that the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Dept. has been called to Mason’s home five times since March 28, and Mason agreed after at least one of the incidents to check into a treatment facility. Mason has never been accused of hurting anyone else, but a family member once told police she was afraid to leave the Auburn star home alone because he hadn’t slept in days and “will get hurt.”

If police have been called to Mason’s home five times since March 28, that means the incident where he was arrested on numerous charges and resisted came weeks before that.

Mason took on more of a complimentary role when Todd Gurley returned from a knee injury last season. Gurley is expected to be the feature back for the Rams in 2016.
