Tyler Eifert, John Ross both ruled out for Week 4

Tyler Eifert

The Cincinnati Bengals have had some serious problems offensively in the early part of the 2017 season, and unfortunately it does not appear that help is on the way.

Both tight end Tyler Eifert and rookie wide receiver John Ross will miss Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, the Bengals announced Friday.

Eifert is dealing with back and knee injuries that forced him to sit out in Week 3, and it sounds like he could be out for a while. He is arguably Cincinnati’s best red zone threat when healthy, but staying healthy is a major issue for him.

Ross, the No. 9 overall pick in this year’s draft, sprained his knee in the Bengals final preseason game and ended up missing the season opener. He played in Week 2, but he fumbled after his first catch and did not see the field much after that. It’s unclear if the speedster is still dealing with knee trouble or if he has landed in the dog house.
