Video: Jeff Okudah schools reporter who asked about his ‘sloppy’ play
Jeff Okudah is widely considered to be the best player at his position in the 2020 NFL Draft, and one reporter at the Scouting Combine on Friday clearly did not do his homework on the former Ohio State cornerback.
During Okudah’s media availability, a reporter asked him how he plans to clean up his “tendency to get kind of sloppy.” Okudah quickly asked for clarification from the reporter, who seemed flustered and mentioned “penalties and stuff like that.” The consensus top-10 pick then put the gentleman in his place.
Someone who I'm guessing didn't watch much Jeff Okudah last year asked him about having "a tendency to get kind of sloppy."
Okudah's response: "I had zero pass interferences, zero holdings, so cut the tape on the game. I think you might see something else." pic.twitter.com/oQ3rrtP3q1

And that, folks, is what happens when you ask questions before doing the proper research. The official Twitter account of Ohio State’s mascot mocked the reporter by sharing an Okudah highlight type.

Okudah will likely be the first cornerback taken in the draft, and he could go as high as No. 3 to the Detroit Lions. He had three interceptions last season and would have had more if opponents weren’t completely ignoring his side of the field. While he is not quite the best Buckeye in the draft, Okudah certainly isn’t known for “sloppy” play.
