Video shows awesome message Lamar Jackson delivered to CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud talks with Lamar Jackson on the field

CJ Stroud had his remarkable rookie season come to an end when the Houston Texans lost to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, but the quarterback got some great words of encouragement after the game.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens blew Houston out in the second half en route to a 34-10 victory at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. Jackson and Stroud had a brief conversation on the field afterward, and Stroud told the soon-to-be MVP to “go win it all, bro.” Jackson responded by telling Stroud it is “just the beginning for you.”

You can see the exchange below:

Stroud quickly earned the respect of his peers by doing one of the hardest things an NFL quarterback can do — winning and leading a team to the playoffs as a rookie. The former Ohio State star then lit it up in his first career postseason game by going 16/21 for 247 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions in a 45-14 win over the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card round.

The results weren’t quite as good (19/33 for 175 yards) against Baltimore, but Stroud has plenty to build off of going forward. It was great to see Jackson acknowledge that.
