5 viral moments from the 2020 NFL Draft
The 2020 NFL Draft was unlike anything we have ever experienced before. The social distancing efforts resulted in a television production that featured reporters, analysts, and draft picks being recorded at their homes. Even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was announcing picks from his basement.
The draft gave us plenty of memorable and viral moments. Here is a look at the best moments.
5) CeeDee Lamb not allowing woman on his phone
Prior to being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys No. 17 overall, Lamb was shown on TV at his home. A woman was seated next to him and tried to check his phone, but he wasn’t having it.
"Can I see your phone for a-"

The former Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver says we have the story all wrong though.

4) Henry Ruggs’ bathrobe
While everyone else was dressed up nicely for the draft, Henry Ruggs went casual. Very casual. The No. 12 overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders was wearing a bathrobe on TV.

The robe was from Old Spice and calls attention to the United Way’s $320,000 donation on behalf of the 32 NFL rookies that is intended to help community effots.
3) Mike Vrabel’s weird friends
Nobody had a weirder at-home setup for the draft than Mike Vrabel. The Tennessee Titans coach had a sign that was bookended by a guy in a costume and another looking like Joe Exotic’s future husband.
mike vrabel draft party is… SUPER WEIRD #mikevrabel #titans #WTF

What in the world was going on there?
2) Kliff Kingsbury’s house
Coaches and other team officials drafting from home gave us a glimpse of what their setups looked like. Nobody’s home was nicer than Kingsbury’s. Check out the Arizona Cardinals coach’s war room:

It’s hard to beat that. What a backyard.
1) Dave Gettleman’s mask
The New York Giants GM was ridiculed for putting on a mask while in a room by himself. Who was he shielding himself from? Was he worried about catching a virus from the computer?
I love my GM masking up and protecting against the spread of coronavirus even when he’s in his own house. Dave Gettleman is trying to save the world all by himself pic.twitter.com/8b1ImKrBKm

It turns out that Gettleman had a good reason for wearing the mask. There was an IT worker around, and as a cancer survivor, Gettleman is trying to protect himself.
