Von Miller is ready for Year 14 in the NFL.

The former Super Bowl MVP linebacker Miller announced in a post to his Instagram page on Wednesday that he is signing with a new team — the Washington Commanders. Miller shared a video clip of Cam’ron’s character in the 2002 film “Paid in Full” saying, “D.C. is definitely ready for us. D.C. is it.”

In the post, Miller also included edited images of himself wearing a Washington uniform. He wrote, “DC… What’s good??” in the caption.

Adam Schefter of ESPN confirmed that Miller was indeed signing with the Commanders on a one-year deal. Schefter noted though that the two sides were still finalizing the exact terms.

Now 36 years old, Miller is an eight-time Pro Bowler as well as a seven-time All-Pro selection. But he has had several major injuries over the last half-decade, including an ACL tear in late 2022. Miller also served a four-game suspension last season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy (stemming from a domestic violence arrest).

Over 13 total games for the Buffalo Bills last season, Miller recorded 6.0 sacks and 17 combined tackles but otherwise displayed some waning effectiveness. There is a reason why it took Miller this long to land a new deal from an NFL team, but the Super Bowl hopeful Commanders are now taking a shot on the two-time champion as a part of their big offseason of additions.
