Contrary to some reports, Von Miller says he will not sit out the season if he and the Denver Broncos cannot come to terms on a long-term contract.
Miller appeared on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show, “Chelsea,” and in a teaser video posted Wednesday, Miller said he couldn’t envision himself with any other team.
“No. I feel like… we still have a month,” Miller said when asked if he would sit out the season. “I just can’t see myself with any other team. My boys, T.J. Ward, Aqib Talib, Kayvon Webster, DeMarcus Ware, all those guys, I’ve built very, very close relationships with those guys, and I would like to continue to build that for the rest of my career.
“I want to be a Bronco forever,” Miller added. “And I just want the feeling to be the same from the Broncos.”
Miller may not sit out the season as had been rumored, but that doesn’t mean he’s satisfied with the situation, as is evidenced by this response. While the Broncos have pulled their offer for now, it sounds like there is still a chance for the two sides to hash something out.
