The Denver Broncos and Von Miller appear to have reached a stalemate on contract talks.
According to Mike Klis of KUSA, the Broncos had set a 10 PM deadline on Tuesday to reach a long-term contract agreement, which passed without resolution. In response to that, the Broncos have withdrawn their formal offer. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Miller had been offered a significant extension.
Broncos proposed 6-yr, $114.5M deal to Von Miller that includes $39.8M gtd in first 2 years, per sources close to Denver. No deal in sight.

Klis says any offer has been pulled, but talks have not “broken off.” The two sides reportedly had the parameters of a deal, but were apart on the structuring of it, particularly guaranteed money. The news comes just days after Miller sounded optimistic about how contract talks were progressing when the team visited the White House.
There is a league-imposed July 15 deadline for franchise tagged players to come to terms on multiyear deals, and Schefter thinks it is unlikely that the two sides will come up with anything by then.
Miller’s options now would be to play under the franchise tag at just over $14 million or not play at all. While he has been publicly committed to the Broncos, we had heard that things could go south between Miller and Denver, and this could be the start of that.
