Dave Gettleman choosing to draft Daniel Jones of Duke with the sixth overall pick might have been the moment of the 2019 NFL Draft. It certainly spawned the most reactions, most of them expressing some form of disbelief.
You may have already seen Dwayne Haskins’ reaction to Jones getting picked over him. That one is definitely going to be played over and over again, but it wasn’t the only one you need to see.
Let’s start with the Yahoo Sports draft crew, who broke out into spontaneous laughter when the Daniel Jones pick was announced.

They weren’t the only digital show to go crazy. Mina Kimes, Mike Golic, Jr., and the rest of the ESPN folks lost their mind.

Then, there was former Jets quarterback Ray Lucas, working at Sportsnet New York. He also was able to find plenty of laughter in the moment.

Joe Budden, meanwhile, was not in a laughing mood as a Giants fan. He sat in stunned silence after the pick was announced.

He wasn’t the only Giants fan to have a negative reaction to the pick. MetLife Stadium did not handle it well.
