Aaron Donald’s return to the Los Angeles Rams continues to get closer and closer.
On Wednesday, the NFL transaction wire reported that the Rams hosted Donald for a workout. And, it appears the star pass rusher wanted to get some work in with a football helmet, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Aaron Donald wanted to do a workout in a football helmet, and even though he did not wear pads during it, he used Rams’ team equipment at their facility during training camp, requiring them to report his activity to the NFL,” Schefter wrote on X.

Donald has been retired from the NFL for the last two years, but he turned heads with an interesting social media post after the Rams acquired Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade.
Ever since then, Donald’s return has been something buzzing around LA. Donald has also begun developing his own docuseries as he prepares for a media career at some point.
At the end of July, Rams head coach Sean McVay said that things are “pointing in the right direction” regarding Donald’s potential comeback, and the workout only adds to that.
The good news is that Aaron Donald and the Rams have time to get things done, especially with the future Hall of Famer likely not needing to participate in the preseason.
The Rams are already viewed as Super Bowl contenders, and adding Donald should only increase those odds.
