The New Orleans Saints prevailed against the Houston Texans in an incredible “Monday Night Football” finish that saw three different scores in the final minute of the game, with Will Lutz and Drew Brees shining as heroes.

The Saints were leading 24-21 with 3:29 left and drove to the Houston 29. Lutz made a 47-yard field goal with 55 seconds left to increase New Orleans’ lead to six.

Just when you thought the Texans were in trouble, Deshaun Watson responded — quickly.

Watson completed a 38-yard pass to DeAndre Hopkins and followed it up with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Stills on the next play. That tied the game at 27.

Houston needed an extra point to take the lead but Ka’imi Fairbairn missed it. He was bailed out thanks to a questionable roughing the kicker penalty.

Fairbairn got a second chance and made the kick to put Houston up 28-27 with 37 seconds left. But that was enough time for Brees.

Brees completed two passes and spiked the ball to kill the clock after both completions. He ran a play from the Houston 49 with only six seconds left, threw a 9-yard pass to Ted Ginn, who called timeout after the catch.

That setup a 58-yard field goal try for Lutz with two seconds left, and he made it.

Can't leave too much time for Deshaun.

30-28 was the final. You just can’t leave too much time for either Brees or Watson!
