Woman’s obituary says Dick LeBeau leaving Steelers contributed to death
Eleanor Miriam Gallagher of Nanticoke, Penn. passed away on Wednesday at the age of 81. According to her obituary, the Pittsburgh Steelers may have shortened Gallagher’s life.
More specifically, Gallagher’s family feels that the team’s disappointing exit from the playoffs coupled with the departure of defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau was too much for her to handle.
Eleanor was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and the family firmly believes that the recent separation of Dick LeBeau and the Steelers’ poor performance this season might have inadvertently contributed to her demise.
We know a Kansas City Chiefs fan who knew exactly how Eleanor felt. It ain’t easy being a sports fan.
