Yannick Ngakoue does not report to training camp, will continue holdout
Yannick Ngakoue has been one of the best pass-rushers in football over the past three seasons, and the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end wants to be compensated accordingly.
Ngakoue skipped minicamp last month and said publicly that he wants a new contract, and he the Jags still have not negotiated one with him. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the 24-year-old will continue to hold out for a long-term deal, as he did not report to training camp on Wednesday.

Ngakoue had 9.5 sacks last season and has 29.5 in his first three years in the NFL. The former third-round pick is set to make around $2 million this season in the final year of his rookie contract. He has not missed a game in his NFL career.
The Jaguars are already down one key piece of their defense for 2019, so that may give Ngakoue added leverage in contract talks.
