Zach Ertz has received interest from several teams since the tight end was waived by the Arizona Cardinals last week, and another top contender has reportedly entered the mix.
Then San Francisco 49ers are are one of the teams that has shown the most interest in Ertz, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Ertz may not sign with a new team until next week.
#49ers are believed to be one of the teams most interested in TE Zach Ertz, who may wait until next week to decide. SF theoretically could put TE Ross Dwelley (high-ankle sprain) on IR to make room. Imagine Shanahan is all for adding a veteran weapon with a SB ring to the roster

Ertz asked the Cardinals to cut him last week so he can pursue an opportunity with a championship contender. He cleared waivers last Friday, so he is free to sign with any team as a free agent.
The Philadelphia Eagles are said to be interested in a reunion with Ertz. You have to wonder if the 33-year-old will factor San Francisco’s 42-19 dismantling of the Eagles last Sunday into his decision.
Ertz is currently dealing with a quad injury that he suffered in Week 7. He is expected to be cleared to play when he joins a new team.
Ertz was drafted by the Eagles in the second round back in 2013. He made three consecutive Pro Bowls with the team from 2017-2019. He was then traded to the Cardinals midway through 2021 and signed a 3-year, $32 million extension prior to last season.
There are a few other teams that have reportedly shown interest in Ertz, so he may have several offers to choose from.
