Argentinian golfer Emiliano Grillo recently suffered an unfortunate mishap that is putting his participation in the Rio Olympics at risk.
Grillo urgently tweeted at American Airlines on Monday morning saying that his golf bag with all of his clubs inside had been misplaced on his flight to Brazil. Grillo said he had already made 20+ phone calls to no avail and proceeded to ask Brazil’s LATAM Airlines for assistance as well.
@AmericanAir delays, rerouting and 20+ calls can't find my golf bag. I am going to miss my chance to compete in the Olympics. @Rio2016

American Airlines then responded that they were on the case, but Grillo was understandably less than pleased that they still had yet to locate the bag.
@GrilloEmiliano We have a team of folks working on this for you, Emiliano!

To his credit though, Grillo managed to maintain a sense of humor about the entire situation, calling on his Twitter followers for help and drawing a comparison to Pokémon.
Dónde crees que están mis palos?
Where do you think my clubs are?

Si fuesen pokepalos estarían todos buscando no? #Pokemon
If they were pokeclubs they would all be looking for them #Pokemon

The 23-year-old Grillo, who won the 2015 Frys.com Open on the PGA Tour, is slated to begin competing in the men’s individual tournament on Thursday morning, so hopefully American Airlines and the other involved parties get their acts together quickly.
