Skywriter talks trash during Tiger Woods vs Phil Mickelson match
The greatest trash talking of “The Match” between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson on Friday may have come from a skywriter.
According to Golf Channel’s “Tiger Tracker,” an overhead skywriter wrote a series of questions that took shots at the pay-per-view match between the two golfers. The questions poked fun at them over a lack of crowd, over how late after the peak of their rivalry the match is taking place, and the absence of another top golfer — Jordan Spieth.
Overhead skywriter asking an interesting assortment of hard-hitting questions:
“Where is the crowd…Tiger v Phil?”
“Is this 1999?”
“Where’s Spieth?” pic.twitter.com/d8COftzrkA— Tiger Tracker (@GCTigerTracker) November 23, 2018
A big draw for the match was supposed to be the in-match betting and trash talk between the players. While there was some betting, the trash talk was lacking … until the skywriter made an appearance.
