If you had Bryon Bell in your “Who will be Tiger’s next caddie?” pool, come forward and collect your prize. Tiger Woods announced Thursday he would return to golf after a three-month layoff. Kelly Tilghman of The Golf Channel reported that Bell would caddie for him.
Bell was on the bag when Tiger won the Buick in ’99, but he’s been known for much more recently. You might recall that Bell was reported to be the middleman who arranged sex meetings between Tiger and his women.
The two have been friends since high school and Bryon recently was the president of Tiger Woods Design. It was reported that Bell wanted Tiger to be more discreet about his womanizing ways but Tiger didn’t listen. The natural conclusion is to wonder how Bell will get Tiger to follow his advice as a caddie.
