Michael Strahan revealed several months ago that he is in a “serious relationship” with a woman whose identity he did not wish to reveal, and it sounds like his new girlfriend is much younger and has had some trouble with the law.
Radar Online reports that Strahan’s girlfriend, who they only refer to as a woman from Florida named Kayla, was arrested for disorderly conduct when she got into a fight in her hometown of Port Charlotte at age 14. Kayla is supposedly 27, so that was a long time ago. The details of the incident are unknown because it was handled in juvenile court.
However, that wasn’t Kayla’s only run-in with police. According to Radar, Kayla and former high school sweetheart Justin Hundley were arrested in May 2005 after they were accused of breaking into the home of Kayla’s then 83-year-old grandmother and stealing roughly $6,000 worth of jewelry. The elderly woman, Margaret Cox, told police she was recovering from an illness when a neighbor witnessed Kayla and Hundley hanging out inside her home. Kayla, who was 18 at the time, reportedly confessed to the crime, but it was also turned over to juvenile court and the outcome is unknown.
Radar also reports that Kayla’s late father was arrested 19 times and her sister has been arrested on drug charges.
People can obviously change, and it’s possible Kayla has come a long way from the days of her troubled youth. Strahan and his ex-girlfriend Nicole Murphy called off their engagement in August 2014, and rumors that they were getting back together were unfounded.
