High School ref’s epic flop goes viral in girls’ basketball game

High School ref flops

In a Kansas high school girls’ basketball matchup between Eudora and Bonner Springs, one referee stole the show — not with a tough call, but with an Oscar-worthy dive that would make Premier League strikers jealous.

After issuing a technical foul and ejecting a Eudora player for unsportsmanlike conduct, the ref followed her toward the bench to ensure she exited. As the player turned, her shoulder lightly brushed him.

What happened next? The official dramatically flailed backward, crashing flat onto the hardwood like he’d been hit by a freight train, lying motionless for several seconds while stunned players and coaches reacted.

Captured from multiple angles and posted on X, the clips exploded overnight, racking up millions of views.

Commenters erupted: “Worst flop since Neymar!” “Fire him for acting!” “Bro thought he was in the WWE!” Some defended the fall, noting his head hit the floor, but the consensus? Peak comedy gold.

The ref reportedly finished the game (and another afterward), but this viral moment has cemented his place in basketball flop infamy.
