Blues GM ripped into Zamboni crew in Boston ahead of Game 7
Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final between the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins should feature plenty of chippy play given the enormous stakes, and it appears tempers were already flaring the day before the puck dropped.
According to several reports, Blues GM Doug Armstrong laid into the ice crew at TD Garden in Boston on Monday afternoon. He apparently felt that the workers were not going to have the ice ready in time for his team’s practice, and he was livid about it.
The president of the @StLouisBlues Doug Armstrong just laid out the Boston Zamboni crew for not having the ice ready for the Blues practice. He said, “Do your blanking jobs.” @ksdknews

Armstrong must have quickly been reminded that he was in Boston with one of the responses he got.
Blues GM, Doug Armstrong just colourfully instructed the ice crew at TD Garden to get to work. Armstrong was a bit annoyed with possibility of the Blues practice being delayed. Crew member “who pissed in your Cheerios this morning”? Game 7.

Fortunately, the Blues were able to get their skating in. The situation was resolved and Armstrong may have realized he overreacted a bit.
Apparently Armstrong circled back to apologize. Game 7 harmony has been restored. https://t.co/gB1Xd8BHgd

This isn’t the first time during the playoffs that we have seen that type of fiery attitude from Armstrong, as he also unloaded on the officiating crew after a Western Conference Final game. Apparently he’s a guy you don’t want to cross.
