USA Hockey player shares emotional hug with father after making Olympic team
The NHL not allowing players to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics means many of the world’s biggest names will not be participating in the games in South Korea. But that also created some awesome opportunities for other players, and some incredible moments.
Take for instance what happened between Bobby Butler and his father after the Milwaukee Admirals forward learned he had made the Olympic team. This emotional exchange between the two was awesome:

Butler, 30, has gone back and forth between the NHL and AHL during his career, and also played in Sweden and Russia in recent years. He’s currently back in the AHL with Milwaukee, and now he’ll be going to South Korea to represent the U.S.
It’s hard to get better than that.
