Steven Stamkos returns to ice after taking puck to face in practice
Steven Stamkos is doing fine despite a scare at Thursday’s Tampa Bay Lightning practice.
Stamkos took a puck to the face during the Lightning’s morning skate on Thursday and left the ice.
Steven Stamkos just got hit by a deflected puck up high, I think in the side of the face. He immediately left the ice. The Lightning morning skate has just begun.

Stamkos returned to the ice pretty quickly. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said that the captain will start as usual for the team’s Game 4 against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night.
Steven Stamkos is fine and the Lightning should have the same lineup for Game 4 as they had in Game 3. Jon Cooper said he liked the weight J.T. Miller added to the 3rd line with Anthony Cirelli. He likes Miller's versatility to play on any line, similar to Ondrej Palat, he said.
