Kate Upton waded into the national anthem protests controversy and gave a very strong rebuke of those who did not stand for the anthem prior to their football games on Sunday.
The supermodel sent the following tweets in which she called the protesters’ actions “unacceptable.”

What Upton and others who say protest other times but not during the anthem don’t understand is that Colin Kaepernick had been making noise through his social media channels for months and hardly received any attention. Nobody paid attention. Doing something as extreme as protesting the anthem gets people to pay attention to your message and complaint.
