Artie Lange shares sexual slave fantasy about ESPN host Cari Champion
Comedian Artie Lange went off the rails on Tuesday when he sent a series of tweets about a slave-based sexual fantasy he has about ESPN host Cari Champion.
Lange, who recently hosted a sports and entertainment radio show called “The Artie Lange Show,” talked about watching “First Take” on ESPN and how he had a crush on Champion, who serves as a mediator on the debate-oriented show.
Below are the tweets Lange sent about Champion, censored for profanity.
Lange then discovered Champion’s Twitter handle and began mentioning her in his tweets:
Comedians often toe the lines of decency with their jokes, but Artie definitely crossed the line by sharing his fantasies about Champion, even though his fantasy has a “happy ending” in his perverse mind. Keep that sort of stuff to yourself, Lange.
I absolutely admit that I love Artie’s movie “Beer League” and find it extremely funny albeit raunchy and at times offensive. But I don’t need to know about Lange’s slave-themed sexual fantasies about a black TV host, and neither does the rest of the world.
Lange has a long history of substance abuse, including addictions to cocaine and heroin. He has also attempted to commit suicide multiple times. Clearly he is very disturbed and quite possibly abusing again. Many of his jokes are funny, but if this was intended to be humorous, it completely missed the mark.
