Katherine Berman, the wife of beloved ESPN personality Chris Berman, died in a car crash on Tuesday.
Connecticut State Police told the Hartford Courant that Berman, 67, was driving a vehicle that collided with an SUV being driven by an 87-year-old man. The other driver was also killed.
ESPN president John Skipper released a statement on Wednesday morning addressing the tragedy.

The horrific tragedy unfortunately makes us think of Jim Ross, who is another legendary broadcaster who lost his wife in an auto accident less than a month ago. Our thoughts are with the Berman family during what must be an unfathomably difficult time.
