Angela Magana decided to take the advice of Cris Cyborg quite literally.
In an interview with the Underground two weeks ago, Cyborg, a standout women’s MMA fighter, was asked what advice she would have for a young woman getting started in MMA. Cyborg’s tongue-in-cheek suggestion was to “make a bunch of photo shoots and spend more time on Instagram and Facebook than training,” which was a shot at the UFC for promoting attractive female fighters.
Though Cyborg was kidding around with her answer, Magana, who is a young women’s MMA fighter currently appearing on “The Ultimate Fighter 20,” decided to act on it.
