Jason Mayhem Miller facing domestic violence charge after arrest

Jason Mayhem MillerTroubled MMA fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday following an incident with a woman the day before.

According to information from the sheriff’s department provided to MMA Mania and other outlets, a woman called police on Saturday to say she was the victim of a domestic violence incident. The woman said the incident occurred after she found a text message on Miller’s phone.

The sheriff’s department told MMA Mania that the woman’s injuries included “multiple bruises covering both arms and both legs, laceration and bleeding above right eyebrow (approx. 1.5″ wide), and laceration to the right side of face (approx. 1.5″ wide). No property or weapons involved.”

Deputies were unable to contact Miller on Saturday to get his statement. They did find him early Sunday morning after responding to a call about a loud party at 5:30 a.m. in Mission Viejo, Calif. Miller supposedly was outside his home, yelling at neighbors. He was arrested based on the allegations from the day before.

Miller was released from jail on Monday after posting $50,000 bond.

Miller is 28-9 in his career and has not fought in over a year. He sparked a postfight brawl at Strikeforce: Nashville in 2010 after entering the cage and asking Jake Shields for a rematch. He was also arrested for a bizarre naked church romp last year.
