Week 17 expert NFL Picks against the spread – Del’s selections

The only good thing about Week 16 was that it wasn’t the final week of the NFL season. Del would absolutely hate to go out with a 3-13 week against the spread, which is why we are in need of a major bounce-back to close out the year.

Fortunately, one of the three picks Del got right last week was the lock. A solid showing in Week 17 will leave us with a very respectable 2015 season.

Tom Coughlin has won two Super Bowls with the Giants and has a great relationship with Eli Manning and many other veterans on the team. With rumors swirling that Coughlin is expected to resign, I think the G-Men will come out and play extremely hard for him in what could be his final home game at The Meadowlands. On the flip side, the Eagles could play inspired football now that Chip Kelly has been moved out of the way. I don’t think it will be enough. In a game with no playoff implications, I feel good about the emotional advantage the Giants should have.

Another game I will be keeping a close eye on Sunday is the Jets vs. Bills. The Steelers could not have asked for worse results in Week 16 when they somehow lost to the Ravens and the Jets beat the Patriots in overtime, but it still wouldn’t be hard to imagine Pittsburgh making the playoffs. They should beat the Browns, and Rex Ryan has a great chance to play spoiler against his former team. I have a funny feeling Buffalo is going to rain on the Jets’ parade.
