Soccer player Ezequiel Schelotto breaks up with ‘too sexy’ girlfriend at parents’ urging

Soccer player Ezequiel Schelotto broke up with his girlfriend, reportedly because his parents thought the model gave their son a bad image. Schelotto is a 22-year-old Argentine winger who plays for Atalanta in Italy’s Serie A. He began seeing model Mariana Diarco in December, but recently broke off their relationship, she confirmed.

Various foreign reports say Schelotto ended the relationship because his family did not approve of Diarco. Some Italian reports even say the family thought Diarco was “too sexy.”

Maybe I’m speaking out of turn, but I would think having a sexy girlfriend is exactly what parents would want for their son. Or maybe that’s just what the son would want, whereas the parents would want a nice girl.

In any case, Diarco has modeled in Maxim and even posed nude in Playboy. I guess it’s understandable why parents would be uncomfortable with their son dating someone whose nude pics are posted across the internet, but hey, the kid’s 22, let him have some fun.
