When Real Madrid are scoring big, high-quality goals, it’s usually Cristiano Ronaldo doing the scoring, but he was upstaged by one of his teammates on Saturday.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale scored a remarkable overhead kick against Liverpool in the Champions League Final in the second half to put Real in front.

It’s hard to overstate how great a goal it is. The Welshman has played sparingly due in part to injury, and had just come off the bench with the game tied in the hopes of making an impact. He did much more than that, and given the magnitude of the game and the situation, it will go down as one of European soccer’s great goals, especially if it proves to be the winner.
