Report: Jerramy Stevens, Hope Solo were driving US women’s soccer van

Hope Solo has been suspended 30 days from the U.S. women’s national team due to her involvement in her husband Jerramy Stevens’ recent DUI arrest. But there may be more to her “involvement” than just being there when it went down.

While Solo was said to have acted belligerently toward police while Stevens was being arrested, that may not be the reason the team has disciplined her. According to a new report from TMZ, Stevens was driving a U.S. soccer team van at the time he was busted and that is the “main reason” Solo has been suspended.

Now it all makes sense.

While Solo may have had permission to use the van, it sounds like the U.S. women’s soccer team is angry that she let Stevens drive it. Team officials are likely more angry that she let her husband drive it while he was intoxicated.

Of course, it doesn’t help that this is the second time Solo has been in trouble with the law in less than a year. The team had to do something.
