Landon Donovan is beginning his post-playing career by planning a wedding.
On Monday, Donovan announced that he recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Hannah Bartell. The former LA Galaxy star wrote on Facebook that he has been traveling a lot since he retired and is in the process of enrolling in college.
“Lastly, and most importantly, I recently got engaged to the love of my life, Hannah,” Donovan revealed. “I have never been this happy and I’m excited for our future together!”
Donovan retired in December after leading the Galaxy to an MLS Cup win. It would be hilarious if we could hear what these people think of his engagement.
While it certainly feels like Donovan has been around forever, he’s just 32. The best is yet to come for him and his soon-to-be wife.
