When Landon Donovan was unexpectedly cut from the US Men’s National Team last week, head coach Jurgen Klinsmann’s son took to Twitter to make fun of the most successful player in US soccer history. Jonathan Klinsmann later apologized for his criticism and deleted his Twitter account, but he has still taken a ton of heat for it. Jonathan’s infamous tweet looked like this.

Donovan scored two goals during the Los Angeles Galaxy’s win over the Philadelphia Union on Sunday night, giving him a total of 136 in his MLS career. Donovan now has more goals than any player in MLS history. Reining MLS MVP Mike Magee congratulated Donovan in a unique way.
HAHAHAHAHAHA DONOVAN HAHAHAHAHA I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE HE BROKE THE MLS GOAL SCORING RECORD UNTIL MY PHONE NOTIFIED ME HAHA #LegenD

Donovan also leads all US players with 57 goals in international play, so many feel that Klinsmann made a huge mistake by leaving him off the World Cup roster. Magee sounds like one of those people.
