Contrary to popular belief, there is at least one thing that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is afraid of.
While on their way to Sunday’s 2026 World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Ibrahimovic and the crew of the Fox broadcast took a helicopter ride, which the former Paris Saint-Germain star striker did not love at all.
“The adrenaline is pumping on the way. S—ting in my pants but okay,” the 44-year-old Ibrahimovic told Rebecca Lowe, as he tried to fight off the anxiety. “I don’t like helicopters. But it’s okay. I have Rebecca close to me. I have Thierry [Henry]. I have Alexi [Lalas]. If we go down, we go down together. Let’s go.”

The ride turned out to be a smooth one, with Ibrahimovic and his co-hosts getting in a car after their chopper ride. They eventually made it to MetLife Stadium in time to watch and cover the big game, which was eventually won in dramatic fashion by Spain, 1-0.
Ibrahimovic can be credited with making the World Cup viewing experience a whole lot more enjoyable, thanks to a persona that translated seamlessly to the broadcast. It just did not look like it during the helicopter trip.
