Caroline Wozniacki sent what appeared to be a very nice tweet on Sunday afternoon congratulating Jordan Spieth on his Masters win, but was there more to it than that? Social media detectives seem to think so.
Because of the way Wozniacki worded her congratulations, some felt she was taking a backhanded swipe at ex-boyfriend Rory McIlroy.
Congratulations to @JordanSpieth on winning @TheMasters! Extremely impressive how he came out firing from the start and never looked back!

Wozniacki’s right. Spieth is the first Masters champion in 39 years to have the lead after all four rounds of the tournament. However, Chris Chase of For the Win notes that Woz rarely ever tweets about sports other than tennis and hasn’t really mentioned golf or the PGA since she was dating McIlroy.
Woz later defended herself:
Tweeps I was congratulating Speith on his win, nothing else.. It's time for some of you to move on from the past. Thank you!

It’s the whole “never looked back” thing that has people wondering if Woz was taking a shot at Rory. In 2011, McIlroy had the lead going into Sunday at the Masters before he completed imploded and posted a score of 80 in the final round. And you remember the way McIlroy broke up with Wozniacki, right? I guess we can’t rule anything out.
