Viktor Troicki explodes on chair umpire Damiano Torella at Wimbledon
Hot-headed Viktor Troicki exploded on chair umpire Damiano Torella during and after his second-round loss to Alberto Ramos-Vinolas at Wimbledon on Thursday.
Troicki first got upset after a ball he thought was out was called in to give Ramos-Vinolas a key point in the third set. Then in the fifth, he became enraged when a first serve by Ramos-Vinolas, which initially appeared to be called out, was called in by Torella, who sounded like he overruled the side judge. That set up match point.
After the match, Troicki did not shake Torella’s hand and then really went off on him:
This is not exactly new territory for Troicki, who has gone nuts on officials in the past.
