NBA 2K15’s face scan feature needs some work

NBA 2K15 has an exciting new feature that allows users to scan their own face onto the video game when creating a custom player. Rather than having to scan through 20 shades of hair color and 90 different eyebrow styles, you can now just upload your face to your Xbox Live or PS4. But unless you want nightmares, we wouldn’t recommend trying it.

The early results from users who have used the face scan technology have not been good. A gallery that Pastapadre.com’s Bryan Wiedey shared shows noses in the wrong place, discoloration and all sorts of other terrifying stuff. Here’s some more of it:

Glitches for newly-released video games are unavoidable, as we saw with all the fun stuff that is in the latest installment of Madden. That said, NBA 2K15’s face scan issue is unprecedented in terms of being downright scary. They might want to fix that sooner rather than later.
