Katherine Webb says she is doing SI Swimsuit issue, then deletes tweet

Katherine-Webb-AJ-McCarron

If a tweet that she sent out and then quickly deleted on Thursday is any indication, Katherine Webb may just be getting started. As The Big Lead pointed out, Webb announced on Twitter that she would be shooting with Sports Illustrated in the future. The tweet came down shortly after it was sent, but a tweet doesn’t have to be live for more than a couple seconds to go viral when you have over 250,000 followers.

Our friend Dave Dameshek — among many others — retweeted it.

In all likelihood, someone from Sports Illustrated asked Webb to remove the tweet. We know the former Miss Alabama has canceled interviews and changed her phone number because of the insane amount of popularity she has gained since Monday night, but I’m guessing she didn’t cancel with SI.

You saw how stunned A.J. McCarron was when reporters informed him that LeBron James and 100,000 other people were following his girlfriend on Twitter. I wonder how he feels about his lady appearing in arguably the most famous swimsuit spread in the world.

UPDATE: In an interview with SI’s Jimmy Traina, Webb confirmed she will be doing the Swimsuit Issue.
