Wife: Ric Flair expected to make full recovery from health scare

Ric Flair is expected to make a full recovery from his health scare on Thursday.

Flair’s wife Wendy Barlow sent a statement to TMZ Sports in which she said her husband was expected to undergo a procedure on Friday and make a full recovery.

“Due to ongoing health complications, Ric was taken to the hospital and is expected to undergo a procedure tomorrow morning, after which he expects to fully recovery,” Barlow said.

Flair, 70, was taken to the emergency room while in Atlanta on Thursday due to a health issue. The issue was said to be very serious.

The former wrestler has dealt with numerous health issues the past few years. He was placed in a medically induced coma in August 2017 after his intestine ruptured. He needed extensive surgery to remove part of his bowels and also had a pacemaker inserted. Barlow said at the time that it was a “miracle” Flair recovered. Following the health scare in 2017, Flair opened up about his issues with alcohol abuse and the serious health problems years of drinking have caused.
