Ric Flair reportedly hospitalized for ‘very serious’ medical emergency

Ric Flair has battled a number of health issues over the past two years, and the WWE legend has been hospitalized yet again.

TMZ reports that Flair was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning in Atlanta because of a medical emergency. While the details are unclear, the situation is said to be “very serious.”

Flair was placed in a medically induced coma in August 2017 after his intestine ruptured. He needed extensive surgery to remove part of his bowels and also had a pacemaker inserted. His fiancee Wendy Barlow said at the time that it was a “miracle” Flair recovered.

Following the health scare in 2017, Flair opened up about his issues with alcohol abuse and the serious health problems years of drinking have caused. The 70-year-old appeared to be doing much better recently and even gave a shoutout during the NCAA Tournament earlier this year.
