WrestleMania 41 Predictions – Night 1

WrestleMania is WWE’s biggest live event — the Super Bowl of wrestling if you will — featuring some of
the biggest stars in sports entertainment. An event of this magnitude will be held on an equally grand
stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. The card is one that is sure to delight wrestling fans.

Without further ado, here are my WrestleMania predictions for night one, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso

The 2025 Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso and the reigning heavyweight champion Gunther will
officially open WrestleMania. Previously known for dominating the tag team division with his twin brother
Jimmy, Jey is now a standalone force who has catapulted his way to main-event status and the top spot in
merchandise sales. Despite being referred to as a wrestling technician and having one of the hardest chops
in the industry, Gunther has not had a dominating world title reign since he won the championship in 2024. Do not underestimate him, though — there’s a reason he’s called the “Ring General.” Expect to see a
hard-hitting match.

Prediction: Jey Uso wins

World Tag Team Championship Match
The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)

Although they have held tag team titles in New Japan (NJPW) and NXT, the reigning two-time WWE tag
team champions, the War Raiders, have not been featured much. They’ve been featured even less since “Monday Night Raw” made the switch to Netflix. That said, this division can certainly use a boost with a title change. The New Day is one of the most decorated tag teams of this generation, with several championship title reigns under their belt—no pun intended. There is no doubt they have what it takes to overthrow the War Raiders. Not to mention, this match was added to the event just several days ago. Combining that fact along with the New Day debuting their heel persona at WrestleMania, leads us to believe an appearance from former New Day member, Big E, could happen, because as we all know, fans love a comeback.

Prediction: The New Day wins

Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano

This match will showcase legendary luchador Rey Mysterio and debutant El Grande Americano. No
introduction needed for Rey Mysterio—he has consistently brought the speed, moves, and heat to his
matches with his high-flying skills over the course of three decades. Although this is El Grande
Americano’s debut, do not make the mistake of thinking he is a newcomer. Without spoiling his identity,
he has been on the main roster for quite some time now as a talented wrestler with Olympic experience.
“El Grande Americano” is his newest gimmick, and a victory over a decorated Rey Mysterio will give him
the push he needs to establish dominance and build his reputation under this new persona. It will be a fast-
paced match to energize the crowd.

Prediction: El Grande Americano wins

    Jade Cargill vs. Naomi

This match will be the first women’s non-title singles match since 2006, as well as Jade Cargill’s first
singles match at WrestleMania. Starting out as the “Big 3” team with Bianca Belair, Cargill and Naomi
will now face each other. The storyline reveals that Naomi attacked and injured Cargill backstage,
resulting in Cargill’s three-month leave of absence. Cargill, portrayed as a strong, intimidating, and fierce
competitor, must reinforce her powerhouse persona and prove she belongs in the championship scene,
especially after her injury. Naomi will have her work cut out for her despite being the veteran in this
matchup. A win over someone as dominating as Cargill will strengthen Naomi’s presence as a serious
competitor in the women’s division. Whoever wins, the victor will have proven she is a force to be
    reckoned with.

    Prediction: Jade Cargill wins

    WWE United States Championship Match
LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

First introduced as a Bloodline enforcer in 2024, Jacob Fatu has quickly made a name for himself facing
opponents such as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens as part of a tag team, and Braun
Strowman one-on-one. As is made evident in his promos, Fatu offers a raw and rugged persona that continues to intrigue fans. Unfortunately for LA Knight though, his run as champion will end here to make way for the
next generation of rising stars. This will mark Fatu’s first singles match at WrestleMania, so expect him
to take the win over the megastar LA Knight, which will give Fatu the momentum he needs to expand his
    presence.

    Prediction: Jacob Fatu wins

    WWE Women’s Championship Match
Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

In this co-main event, the 2025 Royal Rumble winner, Charlotte Flair, will take on the young champion,
Tiffany Stratton. Tensions ran high during a promo when the two of them exchanged verbal jabs with one
another—making this match a must-see. Both very talented athletes, Flair and Stratton have often been
perceived to share the same natural athletic ability. Stratton is well on her way to becoming a household
name, and who better to be the stepping stone to help her reach that status than “The Queen” herself,
Charlotte Flair? It is Tiffy Time, after all.

    Prediction: Tiffany Stratton retains

Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins

The main event, reserved for the biggest stars and huge draws in WWE, will feature three household
names for night one—Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Rollins is the darkhorse, and Paul
Heyman will be the wildcard. Expect to see significant involvement from Heyman, who previously
managed Punk, and is currently serving as the “Wiseman” for Roman Reigns. Heyman is no stranger to
controversy, which is key to delivering a big match ending. Heyman will look to help both Punk and
Reigns given their relationship, but will look to align himself with Rollins—an unexpected
twist fit for night one to set the tone for night two. That is not a prediction, that is a spoiler..

    Prediction: Seth Rollins wins

Stay tuned for night two predictions.
