Astros book Taylor Swift concert at their stadium during playoffs

The Houston Astros are so confident they won’t make the playoffs next season that they have scheduled a Taylor Swift concert to be held at Minute Maid Park in the middle of October.

Fine, maybe we’re exaggerating a little. Shortly after the Astros announced the Swift concert, they noted that the show is subject to change in the incredibly rare event (our words, not theirs) that there is an Astros playoff home game on Oct. 13.

Note: the date of the Taylor Swift 1989 tour show at #MMP is subject to change if it conflicts with an #Astros postseason home game.

I can’t be the only one who finds this hilarious. It’s almost like the second tweet was an afterthought. I can just picture a bunch of team executives excited to have Taylor Swift coming to perform at Minute Maid Park without even thinking about the playoffs.

When you have won 76 or less games six years in a row and this was the biggest news story to come out of your season, I guess T-Swizzle becomes the priority.
