Cliff Lee gave the camera a serious staredown in All-Star Game intros (Video)
Cliff Lee was all business during the pre-All-Star Game introductions on Tuesday night at Citi Field in New York. When the Philadelphia Phillies pitcher was introduced as a member of the NL All-Star squad, he gave a stare that would have caused John Kruk to wet his jockstrap inside the batters box. Just look at that guy. His face has the look of a terminator written all over it. That stare could melt Derek Zoolander’s blue steel face.
It’s even better in GIF form:
If you’re wondering why Lee had the serious look on his face, it could be because he was proactively striking out against the Mets fans in attendance, who booed all the All-Stars from NL East teams. The Atlanta Braves players got booed as did Phillies OF Domonic Brown, so Lee knew what was coming for him.
I suppose this was a tamer response than what Chase Utley gave to New York fans in 2008.
Hey Cliff, why so serious, buddy?
