Charles Barkley rode a horse onto TNT set, got cowboy boots from OKC (Video, Pics)
Charles Barkley has been going back-and-forth with Oklahoma City and San Antonio — the two cities whose teams are playing in the Western Conference finals — about the cities’ strengths and weaknesses. Asked before the series which of the two cities he’d prefer to live, Barkley said Oklahoma City. His answer prompted a video response from the San Antonio mayor who ripped him pretty well.
The Oklahoma City folks have gone the other way and are doing their best to embrace him. Chuck is also doing his part.
Barkley rode a horse to the TNT “Inside the NBA” pregame show before Game 3 on Thursday night. On top of that, he was presented with some custom-made cowboy boots at halftime.
Oklahoma City governor Mary Fallin presented Barkley with the ostrich soled, alligator skin boots made by Loveless Boots. The custom-made boots are embroidered with Barkley’s initials and jersey number, and are worth about $1,500.
